Scholarship program empowers 10 UH-system students with financial support and mentorship

Houston, TX, July 10, 2023 – The Houston Assembly of Delphian Chapters (HADC) has named 10 scholar recipients for the 2023-2024 academic year. All scholars will be attending either the University of Houston (UH) or the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD). The organization’s long-standing tradition of providing scholarships dates to 1930. Since its inception, HADC has awarded over $1.5 million in scholarships to more than 500 scholars. Not only does HADC provide scholarships, but it also mentors its recipients.

This year’s scholars were chosen based on their scholastic achievements in a wide range of fields. Following are those students awarded scholarships, their majors, and respective school:

·         Joseli Castaneda (Finance) – UHD

·         Wintana Ermias (Health) – UH

·         Nida Al Hasan (Business/Supply Chain Management) – UHD

·         Kendall Jauma (Nutritional Science) – UH

·         Amy Le (Biotechnology) – UH

·         Clarissa Ramjattan (Finance) – UH

·         Saamiya Syed (Pre-Med) – UH

·         Tyler Stockton (Chemical Engineering) – UH

·         Annabela Vazquez (English) – UHD

·         Emily Yeh (Global Hospitality Leadership) – UH
